Comfort With Chemotherapy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing care packages to cancer patients. Founded by Angelina D. Brown, a twelve-year breast cancer survivor, our mission is to bring joy, comfort, and reduce stress for individuals embarking on their treatment journey. On August 8, 2011, Angelina received a stage 3 cancer diagnosis. As she processed this news, her oncologist stepped in to provide guidance and support. The oncologist assembled a personalized Comfort Package for Angelina, consisting of essential items to aid her throughout her treatment. This gesture of compassion inspired Angelina to pay it forward and support others facing a cancer diagnosis. Over the past eight years, Angelina has been diligently sending Comfort Packages to individuals who have recently been diagnosed with cancer. In March 2020, she formalized these efforts by establishing Comfort With Chemotherapy as a nonprofit organization. By obtaining 501(c)3 status, the organization aims to expand its reach and impact. Our Comfort Packages include practical items that promote well-being during treatment. They may contain a cookbook titled "Eating Well Through Cancer," a thermometer, body wash and body wipes, tea tree oil, hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes, and informational resources on cancer.
